
There is need for healthy diet for lactating mothers. Mothers are advised to try healthy diets as what they consume enters the milk and reaches the child. Maintain three meals a day and they should be balanced and highly nutritious. Avoid processed food, salt and sugar like plague. However, natural foods that are rich in proteins, minerals, and fiber should take priority. Fruits, fish eggs, nuts, whole grains and vegetables should also be incorporated in the scheme of diet. Top it up all by regular exercise, enough rest and be clean. Top it up all by drinking lots of fluids.
